PERLITE, AGRIPERLITE 0/3 mm (about 13,5 Kg - 150 lt).
Agri-perlite is an inorganic and stable, chemically inert, sterilized product.
Perlite is a specific variety of effusive volcanic rock included in the range of rhyolites and dacites which has the exceptional property of expanding up to 20 times its original volume.
Under the effect of the high temperatures (between 850 and 1,000°C) reached in contact with a flame in the expansion furnace, the water contained in the granule dissociates and turns into steam, swelling the surrounding glass walls and causing the characteristic increase in volume of the granule itself.
This irreversible process determines the formation of micro-cavities which give expanded perlite its extraordinary insulating power.
Furthermore, expanded perlite cannot be attacked by microorganisms due to its sterility and inorganic nature and does not activate the development of microbiological pollutants.

FUNCTIONAL CHARACTERISTICS AND FIELDS OF USE
MIXED WITH CEMENT FOR THE CREATION OF:
? Thermal insulation;
? Refractory concretes.
USED LOOSE:
? Substrate for rooting cuttings and herbaceous plants thanks to the excellent air-water ratio with consequent better oxygenation of the root system;
? Soil conditioner for clayey soils;
? Mixed with the soil to confer sterility and to reduce the frequency of pathogenic attacks on the roots;
? Inert for hydroponic crops;
? Preparation of compounds for seedbeds, growth in pallets and pots;
? Substrate for growing flowers, fruit and vegetables without soil;
? Inert for storage of bulbs and tubers;
? Water reserve at the bottom of vases;
? As an insulator in the formation of sprues in foundries;
? As an absorbent in the packaging of packages containing dangerous liquids;
? For the thermal insulation of unusable attics.
