Mastic (Callus Mate) Japanese, healing paste for bonsai, 100 gr
JAPANESE MASTIC (CALLUS MATE) , HEALING PASTE FOR BONSAI , 100 gr.
Japanese mastic, healing paste to heal cuts and knots of bonsai plants.
The mastic suitable for plugging wounds following heavy pruning, cuts or for modeling bonsai and pre-bonsai plants, is a useful product to be spread with a small spatula (or simply with the finger after using suitable gloves ) on the scar or on the fresh cuts of the branches of the plants to avoid molds, necrosis of the wood and to favor the cicatrization.
It is mainly composed of synthetic resin (vinyl acetate resin) which serves to protect wounds and promote healing.
It also prevents pests from invading the plant in these spots which are particularly vulnerable and weak.
This product is more plastic and therefore mouldable compared to that of the 190 g round plastic jar (with white or green cap).
It has a creamy dark brown texture.
METHOD OF USE
After pruning it is necessary to smooth the cut surface and then apply the product.
During grafting, moisten the rootstock and scion, then apply the product and then cover the grafted surface with the appropriate tape.
It dries quickly after application and does not become sticky as it has excellent spreadability. It does not peel off and does not crack.
Carefully remove sawdust and any other type of dirt from the cut surface.
DOSAGE
The standard amount of this product to use is around 2-5g for a 5cm cut, however this amount needs to be adjusted based on the size of the cut.
